In Curi, conversations take place within specific rooms, whether they involve only Curi AI or other participants. While you cannot delete rooms or the conversations within them, you have the option to exit or archive a room if you no longer wish to participate or if the room’s purpose has been fulfilled. These options help you keep your workspace organized without losing access to past discussions.
Exiting a room means you will no longer be able to participate in its conversation. Think of it as closing the room for yourself. However, if you are unsure about exiting entirely, you can simply step away by navigating back to the Curi home and returning to the room whenever you’re ready.
You can exit the room in following ways:
From inside the room: Navigate to the room you want to exit from the Rooms page. In the upper-right corner of the room, tap on the three-dot Contextual Menu to open an overlay, then select the “Exit Room” option.
From the Rooms page: On the Rooms page, locate the room you want to exit. You can either click on the “See Details” button on the room card or tap on the room card or the room’s header. This will open a Room details overlay, where you will find the option to exit the room at the bottom.
Once you exit a room, it will be removed from your Active Rooms list. However, if you need to access it later, you can find it on the Rooms page by selecting the “Rooms I Have Exited” filter in the filters overlay next to the search bar. If needed, you can always re-enter the room and resume participation.
You can also archive the room if you no longer want to keep it active. Archiving will help to reduce the clutter and keep your workspace organised while ensuring past conversations are still accessible when needed. Before archiving any room you must also first exit it as part of the process. There are two ways to archive a room in Curi;
From inside the room: Navigate to the room you want to archive by tapping on the room’s header from the Rooms page. Tap on the three dot Contextual Menu in the upper right corner, which will open an overlay. From there, select the “Archive Room” option at the bottom.
From the Rooms page: Rooms are displayed as cards on the Rooms page. You can locate the room you want to archive and swipe the room card from right to left. A red archive icon will appear, tap on the icon to proceed.
After selecting the Archive option, Curi will prompt you to confirm your decision to archive and exit the room before proceeding, you can always cancel the process if you are unsure.
Archiving the room will move it to the archived section. You can view the archived rooms by selecting the “Archived Rooms’ filter in the filter overlay on the Rooms page. If you need to unarchive a room, you can swipe its room card from left to right and tap the unarchive icon. Once a room is restored, it will appear in the active room list, allowing you to resume your conversations. By exiting or archiving a room, you can efficiently manage your conversations while keeping them accessible without the need for permanent deletion.
