Can I create a new room with other people directly from the Home page?

Yes, you can easily create a new room directly from the Curi Home using the large AI-generated buttons. The Curi Home features prominent AI-generated buttons designed to help you take quick actions without navigating to other sections of the app, with a refresh icon at the top to update the suggestions. Among these buttons, the last one is the “Create a New Room” button, which remains static, meaning it does not change even when the other buttons refresh.

To create a room, simply tap the bottom button. The system will then prompt you to enter a suitable title for the room. Once you provide a title that reflects the room’s purpose and tap the “Create Room” button, Curi will direct you to the newly created room.

Initially, the room will be private, with only you and Curi AI present. The room header will display your profile and Curi’s profile, enclosed in a blue border, indicating that the room is private and confidential between you and Curi AI. The Room’s Title Bar, displaying the Room’s Title along with a private indicator, will be shown at the top of the screen.

However, if you wish to invite others to join the room, you can do so at any time. After creating the room, simply continue your conversation with Curi AI as it will guide you further.

Is there involvement of AI on goal creation?

Curi AI plays an active role in assisting users with goal creation by guiding them through the process of setting SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) goals. While users have the option to create goals manually, Curi AI provides an interactive and structured approach to help users refine and organize their goals effectively.

As users initiate the goal creation process through Curi Home, the Goals page, or from inside a room, an “Add Goal” overlay a dedicated chat interface with Curi AI solely for creating goals will open. In this interface, Curi AI prompts users with targeted questions and offers guidance to shape their goal effectively. Users will always have the option for manual goal creation if they find it more relevant. If not, they can chat with Curi AI and provide descriptions for the goal. Curi will gather the necessary information and assist in creating a goal for the user. The key areas where Curi AI assists include:

  • Goal Description: Curi AI first asks users to describe their goal, ensuring they clearly define what they want to achieve.
  • Specificity and Measurability: As users provide details, Curi AI encourages them to make the goal specific and measurable, prompting them to think about the concrete outcomes they want to achieve.
  • Actionable Steps: The AI then asks about the actions required to achieve the goal and its outcomes, helping users break it down into practical steps.
  • Feasibility and Relevance: To ensure feasibility, Curi AI guides users in assessing the achievability of the goal and its relevance to their current priorities.
  • Time Constraint: Finally, Curi AI prompts users to set a time constraint or deadline, ensuring the goal remains actionable within a specific period.

Once the necessary details are provided, Curi AI compiles the information into a structured goal summary. The AI automatically generates a title, refines the goal description, organizes the measurable outcomes, lists action items for the outcomes based on user-provided details, and sets the time constraints. Users can then review and edit the summary to ensure it reflects their intent. They can edit the descriptions, add measurable outcomes and action items, or modify the data themselves, or simply chat with Curi AI to make changes before saving the goal.

In addition to creating new goals, Curi AI also assists in modifying existing goals. If users want to make changes, Curi AI facilitates the editing process by adjusting the goal based on user input or allowing them to update descriptions themselves.

Does the Curi take any actions if one of the participants hindered the purpose and agreements of that specific room?

Yes, Curi AI takes action if any participant hinders the purpose and agreements of a specific room. Curi serves as a mediator by analyzing messages and ensuring that they align with the room’s intended goals and established agreements. In a Public Side of the Room, participants are not able to interact directly with each other; instead, they must curate their messages with Curi AI. When a user submits a message or response, Curi AI reviews and analyzes it before it is sent to the Public Side of the Room.

If the message does not meet the required standards, such as being respectful, productive, and aligned with the room’s purpose, Curi AI intervenes. It coaches the user by guiding them to be more respectful and calm, offering suggestions for rephrasing the message in a manner that encourages understanding and prevents escalation. Curi’s goal is to create a positive, collaborative environment by helping participants understand others’ perspectives and refine their responses to prevent further escalation of conflict

Thus, Curi AI ensures that all messages within a room are conducive to the room’s intended purpose and agreements, helping users engage in productive and respectful dialogues.

Why does the user have to exit the room to archive the room?

Archiving a room signifies that the room has served its purpose and is being made inactive. To complete this process, the admin or owner of the room must exit the room before archiving. This step is necessary because, once archived, the room becomes inaccessible to all participants, and no further communication or activity can occur within it. Exiting the room confirms the admin’s decision to close the room.

If users do not intend to archive but just need a break, they can leave the room temporarily by going to Curi Home and return to the room whenever they are ready. However, archiving is a final action to close the room and requires exiting as part of this process. This step ensures that the room has served its purpose and that all activity within it has concluded before being archived.

How to archive and unarchive a specific room from a list of rooms?

If you, as the admin or owner of a room, no longer wish to participate in it or if its purpose of the room has been fulfilled, you can archive it to keep your workspace organized and free of clutter. Before archiving, you must first exit the room as part of the process. Once archived, no further participation or conversation will be possible unless the room is unarchived. However, you will still be able to view past conversations.

You can archive a room in several ways:

From the Rooms Page:

Navigate to the Rooms page, where all your active rooms are displayed as room cards. Find the room that you want to archive and swipe its room card from right to left. A red Archive icon will appear upon swiping, tap on the icon to archive .

From Inside the Room:

Navigate to the room you want to archive from the Rooms page by clicking on the “Go to Room” button on the room card. Then, tap on the three-dot contextual menu in the upper-right corner of the room to open an overlay with various room actions, and select the “Archive Room” option at the bottom of the overlay.

Regardless of the method you choose to archive a room,  Curi will prompt you to confirm your decision to exit and archive the room before proceeding. Once archived, the room will be moved to the archived section and will no longer be visible directly on the Rooms page.

To view archived rooms on the Rooms page along with other active rooms, open the filter overlay next to the search bar and select the “Archived Rooms” filter. Archived rooms will be marked with an archive icon next to the room’s header. While you can still access these rooms to review past conversations, you will not be able to participate in them unless the room is unarchived.

You can unarchive the archived room from the Rooms page by swiping the room card from right to left. An unarchive button will appear upon swiping, tap on it to unarchive the room. Once unarchived, the room will be moved back to the active Rooms list, allowing you to resume the conversation again.

Can I send invitations to multiple people inside a room?

Currently, Curi allows you to add only one user to your room by sending an invitation. This means that you can have private discussions with one other participant at a time. However, we understand the need for more collaborative spaces, and in future updates, we plan to introduce enhanced features such as inviting multiple users to a room and creating breakout rooms within a room for more structured discussions with participants.

What are Private and Public Chats?

Private Chat:

Private chats in Curi are one-on-one conversations between a user and Curi AI. These chats are confidential, allowing users to seek guidance, explore situations, and receive support without the involvement of others. Private chats are ideal for users who prefer direct interaction with Curi AI before engaging in dialogue with other participants.

Public Chat:

Public chats in Curi are collaborative spaces where users can interact with other invited participants. These chats are open to all members of the room, making them suitable for addressing issues or resolving conflicts through dialogue. Conversations in the public chat are guided and curated with Curi AI to ensure productive and constructive discussions. The contents shared here are visible to all the other participants in the room.

Can we set the Purpose and Ground Rules & Agreements for the room?

The purpose and agreements for the room are initially set by the room’s owner or creator. However, a room is a collaborative and safe space, so all invitees have the right and opportunity to propose changes to the room’s purpose and agreements before joining the conversation. This ensures that everyone’s perspective is valued and incorporated, expectations are clearly set, and the space remains fair and aligned with everyone’s needs. Through this approach, Curi promotes inclusivity and encourages active engagement from all participants. The owner has the option to accept these suggestions or discuss them further with Curi AI. It’s important that all purposes and agreements are mutually accepted to ensure alignment and create a truly co-created space for all participants.
