The Notes feature in Curi allows users to highlight and store important key points or information within a room, whether from conversations with Curi AI or other users. These notes remain private and are only visible to the user who created them, ensuring confidentiality. Notes can be added in the following ways:
Note from Message
Users can add a note to any message by long-pressing it, whether it is from another user in a Public Side of the Room, Curi AI’s response in a Private Side of the Room, or even their own messages. After holding the message for a few seconds, an overlay will appear with multiple message options, including the “Make Note” option for creating a note related to that message. Selecting the “Make Note” option will direct the user to the Private Side of the Room, where the selected message is displayed with a blue vertical line on its left, attached to the text input field under the title “Add Note.”
Users can then type their note and submit it. Once submitted, the note is saved and listed in both the “My Notes” overlay for that room and the Notes Page, along with the attached selected message from the Public Side of the Room. Curi will confirm once the note has been successfully created.
Notes from Purpose, Ground Rules, and Agreements
Users can also create notes related to the Purpose and Ground Rules and Agreements by long-pressing the respective sections within the room interface. After holding for a few seconds, an overlay will appear with multiple options, including the “Make Note” option. Selecting this option will direct the user to the Private Side of the Room, where the “Add Note” interface will open. The selected section will appear attached to the text input field with a blue vertical line on its left as context. Users can then type their note and submit it. Once saved, the note will be listed in the “My Notes” overlay and the Notes Page, along with the attached section for reference.
Notes Creation from Chat
Alternatively, users can command Curi AI to create a note by typing “Note:” followed by the content they wish to save within the Private Side of the Room. This is especially useful when users want to highlight or document specific events while conversing with Curi AI. Once the note is created, Curi AI will confirm its addition. The saved note can be accessed from the Notes Page or through the “My Notes” option in the room’s contextual menu.
Notes creation from Contextual Menu
In addition to other methods, users can create notes directly from the room’s contextual menu. To do this, click on the three-dot Contextual menu located in the upper-right corner of the room. This will open an overlay listing various room actions. From the list of options, select “Add Note.” Once selected, an “Add Note” overlay will appear, featuring a text input field and a submit button, along with the keyboard for easy note entry. Users can then type and save their note, ensuring important details are recorded for future reference.
